We all know that I’m not super into all-girl groups, for reasons I couldn’t really tell you, but Costa Ricans Las Robertas have won me over with greatness-in-simplicity cut from the soon to be re-released (newly mixed and mastered, too) LP Cry Out Loud which will be coming out on San Diego’s Art Fag Recordings on October 12. ‘Back To The End’, which you’ll find below, is a really straight forward fuzzy jam with some questionably catchy ‘harmonization’, plenty of cymbals, and the same kind of immediacy that makes me love all the other bands that make two-and-a-half-minute reverby, dirty, catchy-as-fuck songs that I love. Something tells me these girls are going places.
