Just another great band coming out of the black hole of great bands hereby known as Art Fag Records, Heavy Hawaii are owning the blogosphere right now. Maligned for their silly name, which by the way, I love, they’re getting big ups for their two songs. Yeah, silly to give big ups for two songs — but give a listen to “Teen Angel” and maybe you’ll feel differently. The brilliantly sunny song has a lot going on: reberberating riff, creepy yet completely infatuating keyboard, handclaps and that beautifully indescribable feeling of modern, in the moment nostalgia if such a thing exists. The track, which is competing with a few other things for song of the summer (though summer in the UK is completely dead), will be released on their new six-song EP which will see the light of day on September 28th via Art Fag.
