Fuck yeah, I’m giving America’s hat, okay, excuse me, Canada a little break from owning all the introducing posts I’ve been doing lately. This time, I’ve got some amazing French weirdos for you. By their own account, Cheveu is electrogaragepunk that’s dirty because you rubbed it on the floor, not just because they don’t shower. If you’re at all like me, I could probably stop writing this and let you just listen to it because that’s pretty much all you need to know. However, I’ll tell you more. They released Cheveu LP in 2008 and it contains 3 tracks that I’m pretty much obsessed with right now. There’s something so beautiful and weird about the simple keyboard on ‘Happiness’ when they talk really creepily about a girl (“And fuck her hard, so hard until cum squirts out her mouth’) and about being boring. ‘Lola Langusta’ is a magical little track that is funky as fuck and if it doesn’t start going on repeat (for me, it’s on the ‘Big Playlist’) I’ll be a monkeys uncle. Dudes are doing some touring around France and Belgium in the next few months, but hopefully they’ll venture over to England immediately. I would tell you not to snooze on these, but this album is from 2008 and I’m late as fuck on it. But it’s awesome.
