introducing :: ghost outfit

I feel like I always start blog posts about bands by saying where they’re from and how much I hate the place they’re from yet love them, or how I know absolutely nothing about where they’re from. To say the least, I am not worldly nor cultured, nor will I probably ever be. That said, there’s a really rad new duo out of Manchester called Ghost Outfit who I like a lot. Be Bop Kids said that they were a nice reminder than not everything in Manchester is terrible. If that’s the kind of thing they inspire people to write, I’m gonna get behind that. Now, for the stuff you want to know. No, I’ve never been to Manchester. No, I’m never planning to. However, these guys rule. They just released their first single ‘I Was Good When I Was Young’ via their bandcamp and I’m kind of falling in love with it. These kinds of discoveries are my favorite; this song is noisy and rough, immediately hooky, and features some weirdo-outsider deep vocals, you know the kind I love. There’s something to this, it’s easy and it’s fun and it’s dripping with potential. You know the kind you watch. This single, which you can grab at their bandcamp, features this song, which might I add is ripe for repeat plays, and 3 other really weird songs. In short, I’m smitten.
