Damn, Canada, what is up with you right now? They’ve been churning out top quality bands that I’ve been loving for like, the past year, and this next one that I got for you is no different. Lab Coast, formed a few years ago in 2008 as a two piece who expanded a little later into a four-piece. Having been described to me as “RIYL: Wavves, Sonny & The Sunsets”, I was pretty skeptical. How could another band have that same sort combination effortlessness and quirks that makes me adore Sonny & The Sunsets? The worry was for nothing because I have come to see that Lab Coast has that same quirky ramshackleness and enjoyably oddball melodies that make ‘Really Realize‘ one of the best, most uncomplicated jams I’ve heard in a while. They’ve got an album (the second one?) entitled, Pictures on the Wall which is out on Eggy Records.
