Our favorites, The Bell Peppers, were originally planning to do a Holiday EP entitled The Jingle Bell Peppers…. which didn’t happen. However, they did release this ultra cool Mexican-Santa themed video for their John Lennon cover Happy Xmas (War Is Over). Of course, it rules.

Our friends at L.A. Record just premiered the incredibly new Shannon and the Clams video for Toxic Revenge from their 2011 LP Sleep Talk (spoiler alert: this is in my top 10 records of the year). Directed by Hannah Lew, it also features one of my favorite people, King Tuff as an overbearing manager. It’s no secret around these parts that I’m of the mindset that Canberra’s TV Colours can do absolutely no wrong. Above, you should check out the video for their preposertously catchy anthem TV Glow. Besides having some footage of one of the most hilarious shows (that dinosaurs one where the baby goes “I’m da baby!”), it’s an absolute stunner of a pop song that’s burried deep beneath twisting and convulsing layers of fuzz and distortion, and of course, it’s loud as fuck. Manchester’s Daily Life, who you might remember from before, are one of my ‘keep an eye on’ type of bands. I forsee some good things coming to them in 2012, if they keep pumping out the goods as they are. The above video for King of Sports is one of those songs that grabs you with its immediacy, but upon multiple listens only gains strength. I don’t know if this is going to be released or anything, but I am reminded once again how excited I am for more Daily Life stuff.

As expected, here is the beautifully trippy video for Acid Glasses‘ new single (out now via Stroll On Records) on which JPEG Hoarder is the entrancing double a-side. Our main Memphis man is coming over to the UK later this week for a few shows, the first of which is at this weekends Binnacle Festival. Single day tickets are a steal at £8 and if I didn’t have like 35 jobs and no interest in seeing most of those bands, I’d still go to see Acid Glasses. You should also probably head down to Catch on Tuesday the 18th to celebrate Stroll On Records first release with some very special guests, and me.

Although I think that the track you can grab below, Chill Black Guy is amazing & would probably defend it if necessary, I’m not one hundred percent convinced by the above video for Nope but then, I kind of do like it. Regardless, it’s a pretty good video starring Jay Ughh and Young Hawaii Slim. I think I might prefer the CBG video.

You know those times when you turn a song on and you hear it for like 35 seconds and you’re like HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME I LOVE IT ALREADY? Aren’t those the best? That’s exactly what happened the first (and subsequent like 50 listens) time I heard Alabaster by Manchester’s Daily Life. Although they will soon have a split 12″ with our new favorites & fellow Mancunians Sex Hands on Icecapades, which will feature this delightful gem, you can also take a listen to their first EP via their bandcamp and/or below:

Our friends over at Comfortable on a Tightrope just posted this new Sex Hands video and I must say, it is actually the best music video ever of all time. Besides featuring a song that has that sort of effortlessly breezy garage jangle, the video is a bunch of doggies. It’s fantastic and lots of props to Nick from Former Bullies for directing it. Sex Hands will feature on COAT’s new Museums tape, which I’m sure will be incredible as the last one is definitely my most played tape of all time. They’re also releasing something soon on iiicecapades.
