Nu Rave Brain Wave

Before Florence blows us all away with her debut album, “Lungs” due out in July, she’s got to have a hit single. Right? Well, “Kiss With A Fist” ticks that box, right? It was the song of summer last year, at least in my car. And before we can get a taste of the actual album, she has to give us a teeny tiny taster of an EP. Well, she’s got it for you in the shape of The Rabbit Heart EP. Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) is looking to be this years song of the summer, its wonderful, whimsical and powerful – just like Florence.

Yay Florence!

Blur have finally picked the bands they want to open for them at the Hyde Park gigs. July 2 is kind of WTF, but awesome. And July 3 is also kind of WTF but awesome. These are going to be some great gigs.

July 2 features the following bands:
Foals, Crystal Castles, Friendly Fires and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

July 3 features the following bands:
Vampire Weekend, Amadou & Mariam, Florence And The Machine and Deerhoof

Speaking exclusively to NME.COM, Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koening: declared: “I think the Hyde Park show will be pretty phenomenal. People have been waiting a long time to see Blur reunite and it’s flattering to be invited to play at all. This will be my first time seeing Blur live and I’m psyched.”

As previously reported, Blur so play Manchester MEN Arena on June 26, with Klaxons and Florence & The Machine joining them on the bill.

In case you missed her first single (was out on IAMSOUND, dunno if they have any 7″ left, but i got one, woo!) she is releasing a new EP before (hopefully) releasing an album.
