show :: stevenson’s ranch davidians @ spaceland
Tuesday, December 29th, 2009The Stevenson Ranch Davidians are celebrating the release of their new album Life and Death next Thursday at Spaceland. Also playing are one of my favorite bands The Quarter After and the lovely Miranda Lee Richards.
Please come out as it’s sure to be a great show. I have a copy of Life and Death and it’s beautiful. It’s exactly the kind of sunny, jangly music we need to get us through this horrible time of year we call winter.
In Pictures: The Rest of Psych Fest 2009
Friday, March 27th, 2009Really, really fun live, echoing Ian Curtis-esque vocals oh and a drug rug! Oh and a sparking harmonica….

Miranda Lee Richards
Sweet, quirky folk. Oh and she’s adorable!

Golden Animals
Western, bluesy, really fun amazing rock – and they wore a ton of glitter oh and they were having a great time which really affected the crowd.

Miranda Lee Richards — Tuesday Residency @ Spaceland
Thursday, January 15th, 2009
Just a quick reminder that the lovely Miranda Lee Richards will be playing every Tuesday night at Spaceland in the month of February. And I’m sure there will be a great assortment of openers for these dates; confirmed already is Lower Heaven on February 10th. They’re fairly new to the LA psych-rock scene and are already creating a little buzz around themselves, opening for the likes of BRMC, The Warlocks and Magic Mirror.
I’ve heard rumors of other cool openers for this residency but nothing confirmed yet!
February 10th is also the release date of Miranda’s new album, Light of X. Get it get it.
