vote for us :: THE BRIGHTON MUSIC AWARDS

In what can only be described as Brighton’s way of igniting a new fire under the lackluster music scene that has taken a deep plunge in 2010 (great bands moving out of the area to forlorn London, The Freebutt shutting down), the Brighton Music Awards have announced their inagural awards as a response to the Brit’s. A media launch event will take place on 9th September 2010 at the Terraces Bar and Grill, Marine Parade Brighton. This is a free guest list entry only event; please contact mark@brightonmusicawards.com to reserve places. The awards themselves will be announced at the Brighton Centre, East Wing on 16th November.
The best news of all is that we have gotten nominated for Best Music Myspace/Website and we need your votes. Although we’re jointly covering (with probably more excitement) Los Angeles and Brighton, we’re really comitted to the Brighton music scene. We would love to be runners up (I’m assuming the much bigger, electro/remix focused The Recommender will win) so we need your votes.
A 50p donation payable via PayPal & all major debit/credit cards will be required to cast votes. Apart from the PayPal admin deductions which are beyond our control, all proceeds go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
