Dalston’s own TEETH and bringing their insanely infectious brand of eclectic pop down to Brighton. Thanks to Brassneck Promotions, they’ll be visiting one of my favorite venues, Jam, at the end of October. The band, who’ve been gaining strength this year off touring with electro-pop heavy-weights New Young Pony Club and similar buzzband Is Tropical, will surely see their profile rise by end of 2010 and the early part of 2011.

Leed’s Music Scene said: “Teeth truly have to be seen to be believed. One drummer. One vocalist. One guy cradling a Mac laptop. A whole world of noise – and glorious it was too. Rapturously cheered on by new bezzie mates and tour buddies, Is Tropical, who took it upon themselves to behave as if they were involved in a nineties acid house rave right in front of the stage, the sheer energy of Teeth‘s thrashing electronic nonchalance was infectious. These guys manage to encompass Can-esque psychedelia with Be You Own Pet bar-brawl bloodiness. A highlight saw vocalist Veronica SO come down into the crowd in order to create a mosh pit by effectively hurling herself into people until they were forced to join in, much to the delight of Is Tropical who were dutifully on hand to throw each other around to add to the chaotic effect. Big rave anthem of the set was ‘Time Changes’ with its stomping electronic bass line and heavy pounding drums: think of Bj?s ‘Declare Independence’ and you’ll be half way there.”
