Ahh….only The Raveonettes could make a song about killing yourself sound so sunny. “In and Out of Control” will be released on October 6th on Vice Records.

The album is entitled, “In & Out of Control” (even though the would-be ‘title track’ is only gonna appear as a b-side now) and will be out in the US on Vice Records on October 6th. Be absolutely sure to mark these dates on your calendars. The Raveonettes are excellent and have an awesome live show. Seriously. Don’t forget in 2007, we interviewed the stylish Sune Rose Wagner.

The album is almost done and I must say it sounds fucking amazing!!! I’m so thrilled and excited about it, I’m almost speechless..

I can’t listen to this since I’m in the office and I’m too lazy to plug my headphones into the computer (they make loud noises just by plugging them in, it hurts) so uh, tell me what you think? As everyone knows, the Raveonettes have been hard at work in the studio working on the follow up to 2007/2008′s ‘Lust Lust Lust’. Sune Rose Wagner has even been keeping everyone up to date with close to daily blog entries charting their progress in making this album, which is sure to be a corker.

But they’re taking it one step further and releasing some demos from the studio to make sure the fans are up to speed with everything, and to test out the material. Needless to say, I like the song. It’s a lot … well, brighter, even though the material lyrically is pretty fucking dark. I also like the backing vocals.

FOURTH LP TO BE RELEASED THIS FALL ON VICE MUSIC

FESTIVAL APPEARANCES AT LOLLAPALOOZA, SIREN FESTIVAL, AUSTIN CITY LIMITS

Danish duo The Raveonettes, are currently hard at work writing the tunes that will comprise their fourth LP, the follow up to last year’s acclaimed Lust Lust Lust. Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo will return to Denmark in May to record the album, slated for release early this fall on Vice Music. Further details are forthcoming, but its the anticipation that makes the release of a great record all the more worthwhile, right?

The band will return to the US for festival dates, including stops at Chicago’s Lollapalooza, NYC’s Siren Festival, and Austin City Limits. Their appearance at ACL will be the kick off for an extensive North American headlining tour, the dates of which we’ll be announcing to you soon.

FESTIVALS…

We’ll be doing a few US festivals this year, something we haven’t really done before. We’re really psyched about it cause there are a lot of great festivals in the US and I have no idea why we haven’t played some of them before. We’ve only really played Coachella, which we won’t play till next year, unless you regard SXSW as a festival. The first one we have confirmed is Lollapalooza.
