mp3 :: these new puritans – swords of truth alt mix

Monday, October 6th, 2008

I’ve been getting back into These New Puritans in a major way. I got really upset when they sailed the United States without their drummer, George Barnett, who was busy at Milan fashion week or something whilst they were touring. They are definitely a better band with him behind the drums, however, I cannot forget that 4 of the gigs I saw them play at SXSW are some of my favorite gigs of 2008. Thus I bring you a new photograph of the band (TOGETHER) and not ripped apart by fashion week and an alternative version of a favorite song of mine.

RIP ROMAN GLADIATOR OUTFIT

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

About two months ago, #1 NRBW fan/tipster Sung was telling us about how the suit is sooo damaged and how he didn’t know how much longer it would last…. Well, now we know. JB didn’t wear the suit at Leeds fest and nicely, Barnett told NME.COM afterwards that the suit is finished, explaining “It’s absolutely battered and completely unwearable”.

These New Puritans Interview & Live Footage @ the EchoPlex from Anthem Magazine on Vimeo

There goes Jack Barnett again being enigmatic, esoteric, and weird. I swear, sometimes he must just SAY things because no one can NOT listen to two songs in a row by the same artists! That’s just preposterous! Come forward if you have a problem that is similar to Jacks. So anyway, theres some footage from the Echo. Anthem Magazine probably was upset that my gigantic head was in the way during C16th+-…
